Dr. Sivaraman K. Gounder is a highly experienced hospitalist and physician with a rich background in internal medicine and a passion for providing exceptional care to his patients. With more than 15 years of medical practice, he has held significant roles at leading medical institutions, including his current positions at Benchmark Medical Group in Temecula, CA, and Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, CA. He has a proven track record as a hospitalist and has also served in leadership roles, including as a Medical Director and Vice-Chair of the Department of Medicine at El Centro Regional Medical Center. 

Dr. Gounder’s career began with a solid foundation in internal medicine, having completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He continued his medical journey by participating in advanced research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he contributed to groundbreaking studies in oncology. His passion for patient care led him to work as a nocturnist and facility director, managing critical care teams and leading hospital-wide initiatives such as the Sepsis Initiative Committee at Riverside Community Hospital.  

Dr. Gounder’s extensive academic background includes a medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Tamil, enhancing his ability to connect with a diverse patient population. His contributions to medical research, particularly in oncology and internal medicine, are well-recognized, with numerous publications and poster presentations in prestigious medical journals and conferences.  

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gounder has demonstrated a deep commitment to volunteerism, participating in various initiatives like the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief and the S.A.V.E Women and Men Initiative Program. His leadership skills, combined with his compassionate approach to patient care, have earned him recognition and respect in the medical community
